HUMAN CARE BOARD
The Human Care Board. is offering SAFETY NET, a service for people who live alone. At a time specified by you, someone would call daily to check in with you. If you need help, your designated contact person would be notified or the person who called to check on you would get the assistance you need. To sign up for this service or for more information, contact Ruth Gulley 779-4554, Mary Pirsig 783-4684, or Linda Vetsch 269-2889.
Just a reminder that the CONGREGATIONAL NEEDS LIST is still available for use. If you have specific needs or items to give away, please write them down on the list on the podium in the narthex.

The Shepherd's Seniors is a social group aimed mainly at people who consider themselves . senior citizens. It does not have officers or business meetings. It was formed as an opportunity to enjoy fellowship and food together, and to get to know our church family better.
Helen Harms, Pastor E.T. Keller, Roger Umland and Mary Pirsig met recently to plan thls : year's schedule of outings. Everyone is welcome to join us as often or as little as you wish. Most of our gatherings are at suppertime; exceptions are noted below.
For outings at a distance, we will use the church van if it is available and if we have a driver. If the van is not available we will carpool.
We normally post a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board so that we can arrange reservations if needed, and so that we know who we're waiting for when we gather at church to carpool.
September 16th: Lunch at Signatures in Winona. (We chose lunch
because dinner is quite tipricey".) Food is great, and will be something different for us. We'll probably leave church around 12:30pm.
October 21st: Little Miami in Freeburg, MN. If the date coincides with the swans being at Brownsville, or fall colors, we could see that ... Little Miami's Thursday special is a 6 oz. ranch steak, French fries and a roll for $7.95. Good ice cream drinks too!
November 18th: Beedel's in Centerville (changed ownership recently).
December 9th: Red Lobster. [Note: Because of Christmas, this date is one week earlier than we usually meet.]
January 20th: China Inn - Onalaska.
February 17th: Ciatti's - Onalaska.
March 17th: Sullivan's - Trempealeau.
April 21st: German Haus Restaurant east of Tomah, near Volk Field.
May 19th: Rocky's - Stoddard.
If you have questions, call Helen Harms at 7183-0537 or Mary Pirsig at 783-4684

You may advertise your need OR availability of "goods" or "services". Note that one tablet is for: "goods" only; the other is for help wanted or available. There is just enough room for you to briefly write the item or service wanted/offered, and your phone number. If you have questions, please phone Roger at: 526-6054.
