HUMAN CARE BOARD

Just as reminder that the CONGREGATIONAL NEEDS LIST is still available for use. If you have specific needs or items to give away, please write them down on the list on the podium in the narthex.

Seventeen of the .SHEPHERD'S SENIORS dined at Rocky's in Stoddard on Thursday, May 19th. The group will continue to meet this summer, but have not made any definite plans for June. Watch the bulletin for news about upcoming events. If you have any questions, please call Helen Harms @ 608-783-0537.

THE PIECE MAKERS will be meeting on Wednesday mornings at 11 :30am during the month of June. If changes are made in the schedule, it will be announced in the bulletin. If you have an interest or talent in sewing or quilting, new members are always welcome! For more information, contact Lorraine Koch.

FAMILY RESOURCES will be offering the following workshops/classes/activities during the month of June:

1. Parent Connection (for parents with young children) - every Tuesday from 9:30am - 11:00am.

2. Holmen/Onalaska Play Shoppe (for parents & their children ages birth - 5) - Wednesdays from 9:30am - 11:00am @ Oak Grove Family Learning Center (W7908 county Rd. Z, Onalaska)

3. La Crosse Play Shoppe (for parents & their children ages birth - 5) - Fridays from 9:30am - 11:00am @ Family Resources (1500 Green Bay St., La Crosse) except on the 1st Friday of every month.

4. Active Parenting - June 2nd, 9t\ 16th & 23rd

5. Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention - June 4th

6. SIDS: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome - June 4th

7. Orientation for County Certification - June 4th

8. Muscles in Motion @ the Erickson Boys and Girls Club - June 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th

9. 3rd Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser @ Cedar Creek - June 20th

There is a new podium in the narthex, built by Roger Umland of the Human Care Committee ... .it is for the new "Classified" service that Human Care is launching within our congregation. You may advertise your need OR availability of "goods" or "services". Note that one tablet is for: "goods" only; the other is for help wanted or available. There is just enough room for you to briefly write the item or service wanted/offered, and your phone number. If you have questions, please phone Roger at: 526-6054.
