Help Tell the Good News About Lutheran Ministry!
The four LCMS churches in the La Crosse area have an opportunity to do an evangelism outreach. The Vacationland Zone of the Lutheran Hour Ministries has a fair booth and is approaching each congregation in the area for volunteers. The zone and LHM South WI District will provide the booth, handouts and $230 booth fee at the LaCrosse Interstate Fair, July 14th -l B". What is needed are 20 pairs of volunteers to fill twenty 2- Y2 hour time slots. (Feel free to sign up for more than one shift.) A sign-up sheet is available on the table in the narthex. Contact your church's support person (Lisa Kerr, church office) or Roger/Karla Fisher, Faith Lutheran, ph 782-6886) for more information. You do not need to be active with Lutheran Hour Ministries in order to be effective at the booth. All the information you would need is available in print right at the booth.

This year we are inviting our SWD Deaf Ministries to share the booth area with a display of their own. We especially invite both deaf and hearing deaf ministry volunteers to staff the booth along with us. It will be possible for volunteers from either LHM or Deaf Ministry to cover for the entire area; if staffing is ample, a better choice would be to have one person for the deaf ministry area and 1-2 people for Lutheran Hour. Lisa Kerr is the deaf ministry contact person+ or (608) 783-0450.

The fair is open from 11 AM to 10:30 PM each day. Our booth must be staffed during those hours. The object is to engage people in a neighborly conversation style so they will complete an information card. Information on the cards will provide data for follow-up visits if requested. The fair closes at 6pm on Sunday, July l8th, and the booth needs to be taken down by our volunteers as well.
