LET'S GIVE THIS ANOTHER TRY----------
The Fellowship Committee invites everyone to a "VOLKSMARCH" on Saturday afternoon September 11, 2010 at the Human Powered Trails in LaCrosse.Last year's event was cancelled due to cold and rainy weather.
The VOlKSMARCH is a German tradition, which is loosely translated as "people's walk", a hike designed to encourage people of all fitness levels and abilities to enjoy the natural beauty of God's creation plus a visit with family and friends - all while exercising. This non-competitive walk will follow marked trails that challenge hikers to test their stamina on hills and valleys, offer outdoor enthusiasts a hike in the woods or tempt hesitant walkers to a leisurely stroll through the hilltop prairies of the bluffs. The hike will end with a social gathering that will include music and refreshments.*

WHEN: Saturday, September 11, 2010, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: Human Powered Trails - From Losey Blvd., head east on Main St. which will turn into
Bliss Road. Follow Bliss Road & turn left onto Cty. FA. Park at the trailhead located
by the National Weather Station.
WHAT TO BRING: Water, family, friends, well-behaved dogs. Dress for the weather .

NOTE: Refreshments will include German pretzels & apple cider. A bit of German music will be provided by some "volks" from the Gospel Band.
There is apicnic table area at the trailhead. If you are unable or don't care to walk, you may want to just come for the fellowship and enjoy the great outdoors. Bring along a game
or a deck of cards to enjoy with other non-walkers if you choose.
