The Gifts & Talents Bulletin board
Welcome to our "poster" highlighting a few ways that you might enjoy sharing your individual gifts and talents for the upbuilding of the local church:
> Wanted: someone with a gardener's loving green thumb to tend the plant(s) that decorate our narthex and (sometimes) Fellowship Room ... They need weekly watering and occasional trimming and repotting. Call the church office (783-0330) to volunteer.
> People who enjoy being with youth and who would be able to be in a "pool" of people to be called when there is need of a chaperone or adult leadership. Call DCE Anne Gonzalez to volunteer.
> Men, women or youth who would like to be trained as ushers. You can choose which worship service to serve. Call the church office.
> Wanted: a few more newsletter volunteers. We manually collate and fold the monthly newsletter, usually on a Thursday at 1 :OOpm. It only takes an hour and a half---we work quickly and enjoy fellowship!
> Wanted: Sopranos, altos, tenors and basses to augment our adult choir. We meet on Wednesday evenings for about an hour and a half, and we have summers off! No tryouts, just an enjoyment of music. We sing in church about twice a month during the school year.
> A few fun-loving, creative people to join our Fellowship Committee.
This group plans events for our church family to enjoy together.
> Someone from our congregation who would like to join the Board of Directors of the Onalaska-Holmen Food Basket, as a representative of our church. Talk to Lisa Kerr about this.
> A Care Meals Coordinator to match requests for a meal with a volunteer to bring one. We offer a Care Meal to families of a new baby; to people just discharged from the hospital; and to a family who has suffered the loss someone in their household. Call Linda Vetsch.
> A few adults who would like to make occasional visits to the homebound members of our congregation. Fit it to your own schedule. Talk to Pastor Stein.
