In about an hour you can make a blood donation that helps up to three others heal and live.  Please make time to donate blood.  It could be the most rewarding hour you spend.

Blood Donatoins by the Numbers:
> Ten pints:  the amount of blood in the average adult body.
> One pint: roughly the amount drawn during a whole blood donation.
> Three: the number of patients that can be helped each time you donate.  Your donation can be separated into several components that can be given to different individuals, including red blood cells, plasma, and platelets.
> One in three: the number of people who will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime.  Your donation could help a neighbor, a friend, or even a family member.
> 56 days:  The minimum waiting time between whole blood donations.  If you dontat toda,,you will be eligible to help patients again in less than two months.
> 800: the number of donors BloodCenter needs to see each day in order to meet the demands in our local hospitals.
